2 Esdras
And Jacob is the beginning of it that followeth
And so thou gavest thy city over into the hands of thine enemies.
And the Sodomitish sea shall cast out fish
For Esau is the end of the world
For the first Adam bearing a wicked heart transgressed
Heal the broken and the weak
Keep the old and young within thy walls.
Like as a whore envieth a right honest and virtuous woman
Many kings have I destroyed for their sakes
O thou wicked people, remember what I did unto Sodom and Gomorrha
Pharaoh with his servants and all his power have I smitten down.
Seeing ye have forsaken me, I will forsake you also
So shall righteousness hate iniquity, when she decketh herself
The heathen shall envy thee, but they shall be able to do nothing against thee
There shall be a confusion also in many places
Thus saith the Lord, I brought this people out of bondage, and I gave them my commandments by menservants the prophets
Thy heart hath gone to far in this world, and thinkest thou to comprehend the way of the most High
when ye desire me to be gracious unto you, I shall have no mercy upon you
